At least one of the more premium versions are said to feature a three camera system, it’s early days and not much else is rumoured at this point. This year Apple are rumoured to be keeping the three model system, a cheaper XR type of iPhone which will continue to use LCD, while a more expensive version XS and XS Max style of devices will use OLED displays. IPhone’s – This one is a given, every year at a September event Apple announce new iPhone’s.

With Apple having a war on bezels, it’s possible that they could reduce them on the iMac, maybe putting in a bigger display or keeping the current 27″ but in a smaller form factor.ġ2″ MacBook – another Mac that never saw an update in 2018 was the MacBook, it seems a little early for a design change but it may get a spec bump in 2019. A design change would be welcomed considering the current design has been the same since 2012. IMac – Apple didn’t update the iMac in 2018, not even a spec update was given, this could mean a bigger update is coming later this year (possibly a redesign). At this point all we know is that it will be announced and released at some point in 2019 alongside a new Apple display.

The Mac Pro hasn’t been updated since 2013, a long time and for a while it was thought that the Mac Pro has been forgotten about, later Apple explained that they had backed themselves into a corner with the trashcan design and so they decided to go back and redesign the Mac Pro. Mac Pro – Apple confirmed a while back that they are working on new Mac Pro but that it will be a 2019 thing. They are rumoured to be coming later in 2019, so we could see them announced alongside the new Airpods. The earphones are said to be just as convenient as Airpods but with superior sound quality and active noise cancellation. Over the Ear Headphones – Apple have been rumoured to be working on a pair of over the ear headphones, they are said to be Apple branded (just like Airpods) and separate from the Beats brand (which Apple brought a few years ago). An update to these earbuds would be a great seller, personally I love my first gen Airpods and won’t hesitate to by an updated second generation.

Could this be a serious Netflix competitor? what if a bundle could be created, Apple Music and the video streaming service for a monthly fee.Īirpods – the very successful wireless earbuds are rumoured to be getting updated later this year, so far rumours point to better Bluetooth and the addition of “Hey Siri” and possibly noise cancellation features.
In a recent interview CEO Tim Cook said that Apple will be announcing “new services later this year” one of these are likely to be the long rumoured streaming service.

TV streaming service – For a while now Apple have been rumoured to be working on a TV service, it’s no secrete that they have financed and ordered TV shows and movies, some of these going back a couple of years. Could we finally see a firm release date, or is the charging mat dead with rumour sites continuing to kick the can down the road.
It was recently rumoured that the wireless charger has entered into production and will be released later this year. Both the iPad Mini and entry level iPad could be updated at an event in March or April, if that is the case we won’t have long to see new Apple devices of 2019.Īirpower – Apple is said to have fixed and worked through issues that caused the Airpower charging mat to be delayed from 2018 launch date. IPad (entry level) – just like last year Apple is rumoured to be working on an updated entry level iPad update, it may take some design points from the recently released 2018 iPad Pro’s which saw a big design change. The new iPad Mini could feature support for the Apple Pencil, four speakers an improved display and a more up to date processor and internals. Apple is said to be updating the mini which many people (myself included) thought they had left to die. IPad Mini 5 – according to recent rumours and reports the iPad Mini will be getting an update, this is rumoured to take place early this year, for Apple this usually means between March and April (just like last years March event). It’s only January and yet Apple leaks and rumours are starting to trickle out, just what can we expect from Apple in 2019, and will it be better than 2018? I really hope so.
